Do you read newsletters? If so, how often and which ones? If not, why not? These are some of the questions that I have been pondering lately as I realized that I am one of the few people who read newsletters like a daily ritual. Newsletters are so good and meaningful, and they offer me insights, inspiration, and information that I can't find anywhere else. In this blog post, I want to share with you why I love newsletters so much and why I think you should give them a try too.
First of all, what are newsletters? Newsletters are emails that are sent by individuals or organizations to their subscribers on a regular basis. They usually cover a specific topic or niche, such as personal development, productivity, marketing, entrepreneurship, etc. Some newsletters are free, while others require a paid subscription. Some newsletters are short and concise, while others are long and detailed. Some newsletters are written in a formal and professional tone, while others are casual and conversational.
Some of the newsletters that I read every day are:
- Warikoo Wanderings: This is a newsletter by Ankur Warikoo, an entrepreneur and angel investor from India. He writes about his life lessons, mental models, and personal growth tips. He also shares his book recommendations, podcast episodes, and interesting articles that he comes across. His newsletter is honest, vulnerable, and insightful.
- James Clear: This is a newsletter by James Clear, the author of the best-selling book Atomic Habits. He writes about how to build better habits and improve your performance in every area of life. He also shares his favorite quotes, books, articles, and resources that he finds useful. His newsletter is practical, actionable, and evidence-based.
- Nir and Far: This is a newsletter by Nir Eyal, the author of the books Hooked and Indistractable. He writes about how to design products and services that create positive habits and how to overcome distractions and stay focused on what matters. He also shares his research findings, case studies, and interviews with experts. His newsletter is informative, engaging, and thought-provoking.
- Fab Fridays : This is a newsletter by Ana Fabrega, an edupreneur, writer, and Chief Evangelist at Synthesis.
These are just some of the newsletters that I read every day. There are many more that I subscribe to and enjoy from time to time. I find newsletters to be a great way to learn new things, discover new perspectives, and connect with interesting people.
So why do I think more people should read newsletters? Here are some of the benefits that I have experienced from reading newsletters:
- Newsletters help me form relationships with the authors and other subscribers. They also provide me with opportunities to interact with them through comments, feedbacks, questions, etc.
- Newsletters help me have fun and enjoy myself. They also make me laugh, smile, cry, or feel any other emotion that enriches my life.
that's it for today,
Bye GN
