Today was a great day for me. While visiting the canteen, I ran into an old friend of mine, Ankur, whom I hadn't seen in a long time. We were friends since 2nd grade, and it was really great to see him again after such a long time.
As we stand down and shared moments with each other, we talked about our old days and the memories that we had made together. I remembered having a fight with him when we were kids, but I couldn't recall what it was about. Ankur used to say a catchphrase a lot back then, "It's not fair," and he was really mad at me for a while after that fight. But, as we reminisced, we both had a good laugh about it.
Ankur gifted me three jigsaw puzzles on my birthday when I was around 7-8 years old, and I still have them to this day. It was a thoughtful gift that I will always cherish, and it reminded me of how close we used to be.
We talked about our future plans and college planning, and we shared our aspirations for what we want to do in our lives. It was amazing to catch up and see how far we had come from the days of playing with toys and solving puzzles.
Idk How we met , but he was one of my first friend when I moved to NSB back in the day.
I had this same experience of meeting an old friend after a long time few months back.
It happened to me when I got in touch with my friend Yogesh, who I had lost touch with completely. One fine morning, I received a message from him, and we started talking for hours. I was ecstatic to reconnect with him, and that day turned out to be amazing.
I had never thought that I would talk to Yogesh again, but that unexpected chat made it possible.
We shared stories about our lives, caught up on each other's accomplishments, and talked about our future plans. It was like time had stood still since we last spoke.
The feeling of reconnecting with someone who was once a significant part of your life is truly remarkable. It's like finding a missing piece of yourself that you thought was lost forever. I was grateful for that day and our conversation, and it made me realize how much I missed my old friend.
I still remember how I met him, but to get there, we need to go back 9-10 years. It was a bright Sunday morning, and I was heading down in the lift to play in the park.
As soon as I got there, I noticed only three kids in the park - Kishik, Yogesh, and Abhishek
(I met Shahid and Shivansh a few days later, but that's a story for another day).
One of the tall boys was giving silly instructions to the other two, who were blindly following him. Curious, I approached them and asked what they were up to. They were randomly climbing walls and doing other things, so I joined in, and we started playing cricket together. That's how we became friends.
(Man I miss those days they were a lot of fun. There was something different about that afternoon, No Worries , not thinking about future and totally immersed into the Play)
I still reminisce about the game we used to play called "Chupan Chupai-with Pakdam Pakdai," where one person had to find the other 10-15 players hiding in buildings, basements, parks, and parking lots. The last person to remain hidden was the winner.
Those were the days when collecting WWE cards was the craze. We used to buy Parleys' Chips for Rs. 5/10 and compare who had the most powerful players.
I miss those old days and wish we could play that game one last time together.
PS: Sorry but I don't have any Photos of Yogesh , Me , Abshk. Ankur , Shahid and Shivansh. We need to get one.
