The Show that took my Heart Away and Never Let Go

I started watching Grey's Anatomy 7 months ago, not realizing it was a 19-season show. But I am extremely grateful that I stumbled upon it. It quickly became my favorite show of all time, surpassing even The Big Bang Theory. From the very first episode, Grey's Anatomy took my heart away, and I couldn't stop watching until I had seen every episode.

At first, there was a lot of chaos happening with the five interns recently graduated from med school, and I found the surgeries to be quite scary. However, watching the friendship between Izzie, George, and Meredith develop was something special. They had fun, fought to win surgeries, and played pranks on each other. I used to hate Cristina in the beginning, but as the show progressed, I understood that to rise above and beyond, you need to love your work. Her only priority was to excel at every heart surgery and be the best, which is the right attitude to have when it comes to something as important as saving lives.

One of the most annoying things about the show, in my opinion, was the excessive focus on sex between characters. It seemed like everyone was having sex with one another, including instances of incest, which I found gross and wrong.

Despite this, I became attached to the characters and cried when George died and when Izzie left. But the show continued, and Meredith's and Derek's relationship developed. The biggest turnaround for me was Justin Chambers' character, Alex, who started off as a bully but became one of the best characters and a friend to Meredith. I also loved the other characters, such as Richard, Miranda, Addison, April, Callie, Arizona, Mark, Lexi, Denny, Jackson, Owen, Teddy, and Amelia.

Watching Grey's Anatomy, even though I have no background or interest in biology, taught me a lot about various medical conditions and procedures, as well as how hospitals function and conduct research. I even became interested in getting my own genome testing in the future.

Overall, I would recommend this show to everyone. It has drama, fun, thrills, and every emotion you can think of. It's a full rollercoaster ride, and I even fell in love with Seattle while watching it. However, it's hard to say goodbye to the characters I've grown attached to over the past 7 months. Despite breaking every streak of my daily habits, watching Grey's Anatomy was worth it, and I'm sad to see it end.

But it's time to start afresh, and I know I'll never forget M.A.G.I.C. and everything they've taught me.

Goodbye, Meredith.

It's never going to be the same without you.
