I'm so excited to share that it is the anniversary of my website and the first blog I posted on 20th of April. It's been a wonderful journey so far. I don't know how did I forgot about this. Nevertheless its been 5 days only.
I still remember how nervous I was when I hit publish on my first blog post.
Since then, I've posted more than 80 blogs on various topics.
I've learned a lot from blogging. I've learned how to write better, how to research more effectively, how to optimize my website for SEO, how to grow my audience and reach more people, and how to monetize my blog without compromising my values. Though not yet tested at scale.
I always wanted to have a professional domain name as they are very limited in number and hard to get in this increasing population. Having a personal website helps me to get verified across various platforms and reach out to the companies and organizations that I admire. It also allows me to connect with my favorite people like Ankur Warikoo, Varun Mayya, Simon Sinek and other like-minded people who inspire me every day.
Having a personal website also showcases my work in a more professional way and gives an overall view of who I am and what I am working on and thinking of doing in the future. I love writing about topics that interest me and sharing my thoughts and opinions.
Though I did not get the .com domain as it would have helped SEO much more, nevertheless I got .net domain which is good as most of the people I follow have .net domains like Ryan Holiday and other authors. By the way, these days .io and .ai are in much demand too.
