Today, I am going to talk about my 268-day streak on Duolingo for learning Spanish.
Let me start by saying that I got inspired to learn Spanish after watching the character of Gloria, played by Sofia Vergara, on the TV show "Modern Family."
The way she speaks Spanish is so funny and beautiful that it instantly made me want to learn the language.
Learning Spanish has been a fantastic journey for me. I have learned so much about the language, its grammar, and its vocabulary.
But what I love the most about Spanish is how funny and beautiful it is to speak. Even if someone abuses anything in Spanish, the other person has no clue of what's happening and just smiles from the end.
Maintaining my streak on Duolingo has been a challenge for me. There were days when I had to use two streak freezes in a row and barely escaped breaking it. But I am proud to say that I have been able to maintain my streak for 268 days now. It was tough, but the sense of accomplishment I feel every day when I log in to Duolingo makes it all worth it.
I have noticed a significant improvement in my Spanish skills since I started learning. I can now hold basic conversations in Spanish and understand Spanish some part of the lyrics in the songs and few phrases of movies without subtitles. It's a great feeling to be able to communicate in a different language and immerse myself in a new culture.
My goal now is to reach a 365-day streak and continue my Spanish language learning journey until I become a master in it. I know it won't be easy, but I am determined to keep going. Learning a new language takes time and dedication, but it's a worthwhile investment in oneself.
