Its good to ask questions

I stumbled upon a quote from Ankur Warikoo that completely changed the way I think and approach questions. The quote was simple yet profound - "Until Asked the answer is always NO."

At first glance, the quote seemed straightforward. It meant that if you don't ask a question, you won't get an answer. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized its deeper meaning.

We often assume that we know the answer to a question before even asking it. We assume that the other person won't be able to help us, or that the question is too silly to ask. But the truth is, we don't know until we ask. And by assuming the answer is "no," we're limiting ourselves and missing out on potential opportunities.

This quote has made me realize that asking questions is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of curiosity and willingness to learn. Asking questions allows us to explore new ideas and perspectives, and it's often the key to unlocking solutions to problems that seemed unsolvable.

I remind myself that the answer is always "no" until I ask. I've found that people are more willing to help than I had initially thought, and I've learned so much in the process. Who knows, you might just find the answers you've been looking for.

Unfortunately, in our education system, there is a tendency to shut down students' voices and make them feel naive when they ask silly questions. This can be incredibly demoralizing and can prevent students from asking questions in the future.

It's important for teachers and educators to remember that everyone starts somewhere, and there is no such thing as a silly question. By shutting down a student's question or making them feel stupid, we're doing a disservice to them and preventing them from learning and growing.

Her upcoming book, "The Learning Game," discusses this topic more extensively and sheds light on why every young adult and parent needs to read it.
