Manhattan and Me

I am utterly consumed by my ambitions, brimming with grandiose dreams that I've meticulously charted out. However, over the past week, I've found myself perpetually ensnared in a whirlwind of busyness, fatigue, and an insatiable craving for sleep as classes have kicked off with unwavering intensity.

Greetings, Future Billionaires Row! I'm on my way.

I've grown weary of traversing a staggering 15,000 steps daily, whether ascending and descending the towering edifices to fetch and deliver parcels or attending lectures and tutorials.

A plethora of noteworthy events unfolded this week, yet I languished in a state of sloth, neglecting to keep you informed about the enthralling occurrences.

Here are the Week's Highlights!

Monday: Only one session of CSET 101, and my day was already concluded! It was meant to be a day of respite, but no such luck. Anshuman embarked on a weekend shopping spree, graciously securing my Himalaya Baby Powder, Boroplus, and Boroline Antiseptic Cream.

Tuesday: I threw myself into the ring for the coveted position of Batch Representative (BR), encountering clashes between Skye, Dhingara, Vineeth, and Sahil. Eventually, I withdrew, unable to shoulder the weight of additional responsibilities, given my almost assured selection for the Cabinet or esteemed chapters like GFG, Code Chef, and DSS. This day introduced me to a multitude of fresh faces

Wednesday: Let's talk about the enigma known as Navodita Pandey, who conducts online classes while physically on campus, barring access to her virtual realm and providing no clarity on projects. Physics Circuits nearly short-circuited my neural synapses, but I persevered and absorbed the knowledge.

Thursday: The day began with our inaugural Physics Practical, which went well until my stool shattered my back with agony. The teacher grouped us in threes, and I was denied the opportunity to collaborate with my preferred partner. My roommate seemingly struck gold with the best match. The evening offered solace as I relished an IBF event with Harsh, indulging in pizzas and cold drinks. However, Dhairya's vexation was palpable because I failed to bid farewell to Sujal, who was hospitalized due to ill health. I apologized, though the evening remained delightful. Later, I faced an interview with CodeChef's content team, leaving me nearly faint from exhaustion, ravenous for sustenance.

Friday: Rain drenched our picturesque campus, and fierce winds threatened to sweep us away. Despite our intentions to collectively skip class, we found ourselves obediently seated in the same classroom, attending tutorials. Once again, Navodita's online lecture eluded me, her Teams Meeting an enigma. Let's move on; that day was far from stellar.

Saturday & Sunday: A blissful respite in the form of a weekend.

I secured a spot in the Student Cabinet but remain undecided about the journey ahead. Yet, it promises to be extraordinary. I've started burning the midnight oil, engaging in profound conversations with individuals who hold diverse beliefs and values. Vanshi procured his stylish black shoes, and I'm indebted to him for capturing adorable snapshots with his exceptional camera.

That concludes the weekend's chronicles. As for the future, I can't predict what lies ahead, but my ultimate aspiration is to rise from my bed in the tallest skyline on Earth twenty years from now, gazing upon the magnificent New York City. This dream, shrouded in mist for now, can only be realized through unwavering effort.
