Oh, let me tell you about today! College wanted us there by 9:00 am, but hey, we sauntered in around 11:00 am. Dad was all gung-ho about leaving early, but Ballu Bhaiya was like, "Chill, eat something before you go. It's gonna be a crazy long day." And guess what? He was totally right!
And as if that wasn't enough, the darn rain showed up and totally rained on our parade. Poor Mom missed out on the grand university tour thanks to Mr. Raincloud. Boo!
I was pretty quiet during the day, knowing the inevitable was creeping closer. The moment of goodbye was on the horizon!
After what felt like ages of registration stuff, they finally handed me my room key in the hostel. Woohoo! Happy dance time! The room itself is pretty swanky – not like, "wow," but decent enough. The view from the window won't win any awards, but at least the sun will nudge me awake early. The bed's comfy, though I'm pillow-less for now. They'll throw those in soon. And oh yeah, a doormat, mirror, and some other odds and ends are on my shopping list.
Ayush and I kept missing each other, but he pulled off a ninja move and met my folks. He even helped them in the rain – legend! Thanks for being awesome, buddy and helping to get a cab for mom and day in that awful rain.
Then came the tough part. Mom hopped in a cab, and I swear, I couldn't help shedding a tear or ten. My heart was like, "Nope, don't leave!" Love you, Mom!
My hear screamed and wanted not to leg go her hand yet it was inevitable to do : (
Now, I could have sulked in bed all evening, but let me tell you, these college peeps are a lively bunch. Loneliness? No chance!
Dinner bell rang, and guess what? The food was pretty darn good. Hot and delicious – just what the doctor ordered.
My legs are begging for mercy after all the running around. All I want now is to crash and score a solid night’s sleep before the Zumba mania begins tomorrow. Wish me luck!
Catch you later,
Nighty night!
Love You Mummy and Papa 💓
