The Breathless Moment of a Close Encounter

Today started off like any other day as my mother's blood pressure spiked suddenly. Which caused dizziness and she almost fainted this morning. Dad rushed to the hospital right away , As I was gone morning run.

This wasn't the first time this had happened. Over the past four years, my mom has experienced these near-death experiences every six months or so. It's something that I've braced myself for, but it still scares me every time.

I called Dad after reaching home and asked "What had happened?". He told that the doctor has given six injections and three bottles of IV glucose to stabilize her blood pressure.

She was stable after 6 hours.

Almost at noon I went to the hospital after making Brunch (Egg Curry and Rice) DAMN!.

I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. Seeing my mom hooked up to machines and surrounded by medical equipment was a stark reminder of how fragile life can be. She's entering her mid-50s now, and I know that the human body starts to deteriorate with age. Having a problem like gastritis only adds fuel to the fire.

Eventually, my mom was released from the hospital and we went back home. But things weren't back to normal yet. She needed time to recover, and everything at home seemed to be in chaos.

It was hard to focus on anything else when my mom's health was on the line.

As I reflect on this experience, I realize how much it's taken a toll on me. It's not just about the fear and worry that comes with seeing a loved one in the hospital. It's the constant reminder that life is fragile, and that we never know what's going to happen next.

PS: One of the *********** reason to not go for studying abroad after considering the age factor :(
