It is very hot in Visakhapatnam these days. You won't believe how much I'm suffering from the heat wave that is hitting this city. It's like living in a furnace!
The temperature is soaring and reaching all-time highs every day. I can't even get out of the AC room for a minute without feeling like I'm melting. The AC is the only thing keeping me alive these days, other than eating ice cream tubs and cones and dark chocolate. I know, I know, it's not healthy at all, but what can I do? It's the only way to cool down and cope with the stress of this weather.
But of course, this has a downside too. All my past efforts of exercising, morning run and drinking black coffee have gone in vain as I have temporarily stopped them in my daily regime. I just can't bring myself to do any physical activity or drink anything hot in this heat. And the result is that my face has bloated and I have gained a few kilograms of weight. I look puffy and not good at all. I need to start working again on my body, because I'm definitely not liking myself these days.
And on top of that, growing hair long is a very challenging job in this summer. I'm trying to make them grow and be long before going bald by the end of May as a tribute to one of the gods when I'm visiting a temple by the end of May. It's a tradition in my family and I want to honor it. But it's so hard to manage long hair in this heat. They get sweaty and sticky and tangled all the time. I wonder how girls do it. They must have a lot of patience and skills to maintain their long hair and make them look shiny and strong and pull off different styles. I have high respect for them.
So yeah, that's how my life is going right now. Not very fun, huh? I wish God would make it rain soon. I love water and dark clouds and the sound of thunder. It would be such a relief to see some raindrops falling from the sky and cooling down the earth. And also, I wish the shopkeepers would bring some delicious mangoes. I want to eat them a lot and cherish this season. Mangoes are my favorite fruit and they are so juicy and sweet and refreshing.
If you're going to give us heat, then at least give us some perks with it, right? Or better yet, take it away with you!
That's all for today, folks. Thanks for reading my blog and listening to me rant about the weather. I hope you're having a better time than me wherever you are. Stay tuned for more updates from me soon. Until then, stay cool and hydrated! Bye!
