As an aspiring author , I am thrilled to have completed the manuscript of my book. (ITS going to be AWE , wait for it AWESOME !)
However, I have decided to postpone the publishing of my book despite the script being ready. It may seem like an unusual decision, but I have come to realize the value of networking and distribution in the book industry thanks to @AnaFabLorenga
In today's world, with the fall in book reading market, having a strong network is crucial to selling to the masses. To achieve this, I believe that studying in college and reaching out to alumni is an excellent way to create a network.
Additionally, attending events and workshops can also help me to build connections with like-minded individuals who share my passion for writing.( Which is very crucial for me as its not going to be a book just for reading, rather it will be one of the 3-way to the greatest puzzle/ game ever.... its going to be VERY BIG ! )
Furthermore, I have come to understand that having a stage to display my book is equally important.
By attending book fairs and literary festivals, I can gain exposure to a wider audience and establish my presence in the market. These events will not only provide me with a platform to showcase my work but also help me to network with publishers, literary agents, and other industry professionals who can provide valuable insights and guidance.
Although it may seem like a daunting task,(Which it is)
I am willing to be patient and put in the effort required to build a strong network and establish a presence in the book industry. I believe that postponing the publication of my book will ultimately be worth it in the long run. By taking the time to build a solid foundation, I can ensure that my book reaches the widest possible audience and achieves the success it deserves.
